LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT – KIT-HAN-NE REGION OF THE AACA

Even with all of the rain, we’ve made it to August. We have three Cadet Cruises yet this year to keep us busy. Our August 19th cruise will be a memorial to Hemi Denny. Let’s hope the weather is good to us. Setup will be between 2 and 4PM. Please come and help when you can. DJ Tom Lanning will be set up by 5PM. Dash plaque will be a one time run plaque in honor of Hemi Denny. See our ad, or posting, on www.carcruises.com. Click Pennsylvania when prompted for state and click August when prompted for month and scroll down to Wednesday August 19th. You’ll also find some other cruises that evening.

Dash plaques for September 16th will be Bill Johnson’s Triumph TR3 and our September 30th HAVIN cruise at the Cadet dash plaque will be Larry Rupp’s Mustang.

Our club picnic is at Mahoning Dam Park on Saturday, August 15th and starts at 2PM in the picnic area below the dam – the same picnic grove as we used last year. The club will supply meat, cooking, buns and pop. Each member is asked to bring a covered dish and plates & dinnerwear for your family. We have a path of all paved roads to the site, so you don’t have to drive on dirt roads – ideal location for the old cars. Just follow the signs off route 66 at Baum – follow the instructions on the back of this letter. Directions

Don’t forget the overnight trip to the Riverside Inn. Our block of rooms will be held until Monday, August 17th, so, by the time you receive this letter, its time to take action. After August 17th, rooms are subject to availability. The Medieval Feast is Saturday, October 17th - $205.00 per couple includes the dinner, show, your room and breakfast on Sunday morning. We’ll be setting up our trip to Tara, Kraynak’s and Daffins Candies on Saturday, November 7th and finalizing our fall banquet at the Kittanning Elks for Saturday, November 14th.

Our next club meeting is Wednesday, August 26th, at Theresa’s Royal Allegheny – dinner at 6PM, meeting at 7PM.

Bill Johnson has done a wonderful job taking our website forward – he’s effectively taken us to www.kithannecarclub.com. Our old website is still maintained for this year.
